Responsibilities
Embrace the role as the face of the Chamber and drive excitement around its work
Plan and maintain Chamber membership targets and retention strategies
Demonstrate the value of Chamber membership to prospective members
Broker non-traditional strategic relationships
Lead, strengthen, and develop Chamber staff
Develop and execute business plans for revenue growth through Chamber offerings
Maintain a supportive and productive working relationship with the volunteer Board of Directors
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in a similar organization working with key stakeholders to achieve demonstrable outcomes
Experience with financial management and reporting
Experience working with a volunteer Board of Directors
Demonstrated experience building key strategic and operational relationships
Experience working in a rural or remote Chamber of Commerce and experience in working with municipal governments considered an asset
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications is required
Experience with Membee or a similar membership management software package considered an asset
A track record of “turning possibilities into reality”
An undergraduate or graduate degree in business administration, community development, or other applicable focus would be preferred; or
A combination of another form of post-secondary education and experience
