What you will be doing:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Ensuring the overall success of all Hotel operations
Support the General Manager in the overall management and strategic direction of the hotel, assuming the responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence
Maintain leading-edge knowledge of both our competitive market set and developments in the Hospitality industry
Coordinate the planning and implementation of capital projects
Oversee the operations functions of the hotel, including but not limited to Food and Beverage and Rooms Division
Ensure revenue maximization, cost controls, scheduling, and the ongoing training and development the Leadership team and Colleagues
Lead and support all departments in the achievement of their financial and operational targets through establishment of a positive culture, clear expectations and policy & procedural implementation and appropriate colleague training activities
Overseeing the health, safety and security of our guests and colleagues
Participate in the strategic planning and ongoing development of the Hotel by assisting in the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel’s annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget
Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms and Food & Beverage are on time, on target and accurate
Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls
Actively involved in the recruitment process of leadership positions within the operating departments
Ensure that are in place in accordance with Fairmont Hotel & Resorts in order to make certain that targets are met with respect to Guest Satisfaction Surveys (VOG and LQA) and Colleague Engagement Survey (CES).
Acting as a leader and role model in the adherence to all Fairmont standards, the successful candidate will exhibit the Brands’ Leadership Promise of Culture and Values at all times.
Foster a winning, solution-oriented work environment, motivating and engaging colleagues to continuously deliver the best possible service to our guests.

Your experience and skills include:
At least 3 years of experience in a 350 rooms hotel in a similar position
Previous experience in a senior leadership role, within a international hotel brand
Strong hotel operations with experience in many different positions
Demonstrated knowledge of budget planning and financial controls
Ability to manage change and lead strategic planning efforts
Bilingual (French and English), a third language would be an asset
Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required
University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
