Description
The Christmas Kettle Campaign Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and implementing the organization and monitoring of the Christmas Kettle Campaign. They will also ensure adequate staffing is met prior to and during each shift.
HOURS:
- Temporary full-time seasonal position based on 37.5 hours per week
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible as a group work leader provides direction and checks results.
- Coordinate and oversee the activities of Christmas Kettle Campaign staff and/or volunteers
- Oversee the operations of the Christmas Kettle campaign including, scheduling of staff & volunteers, counting, reporting, and maintaining records of donations received.
- Recruitment & training of staff and volunteers
- Organize payroll procedures and documents
- Orientation and performance management of Kettle Workers employees and/or volunteers
- Coordinate the schedule for kettle staff/volunteers and responds to emergency absences, etc.
- Source and develop positive working relationships with kettle locations & corporate partners
- Deliver and pick up kettles to/from locations, ensuring the security of donations.
- Assume responsibility for coordinating kettle counters and /or overseeing counting.
- Perform spot checks to ensure adherence to The Salvation Army’s expectations and guidelines
- Represent The Salvation Army in a positive, professional manner.
- Record and input statistical data from kettle locations
- Coordinate post-campaign appreciation event
- Perform other position-related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications:
- Completed High School or equivalent
Experience/ Required Skills:
- Prior related experience would be a definite asset
- Experience in office administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced office setting
- Experience with general office equipment and Microsoft Office applications
- Support for and an understanding of the mission and the purpose of The Salvation Army.
- During the peak campaign season, there is an expectation that nontraditional working hours will be maintained (Nov-Dec), flexibility of shifts is required.
Preferred Skills/Capabilities:
- Campaign coordinating/Event management
- Graphic design
- Fundraising experience
Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:

- Clean drivers abstract.
- Completion of our online Armatus Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training.
