Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: • Applicants must have or be eligible to
hold a valid PEI Teacher’s License and have a physical education or
kinesiology degree or specialization;• Experience with IEP’s;• Experience with StudentsAchieve(SAS);• Knowledge and experience with modifications to curriculum;• Knowledge of effective assessment strategies;• Knowledge of the school level curriculum;• Experience in differentiated instruction;• Experience working in a collaborative team environment;•
Excellent classroom management and organizational skills, knowledge of
effective teaching strategies and be able to demonstrate strong
teamwork and collaborative practices;• Commitment to school
community, demonstrate commitment to ongoing learning and must be able
to facilitate communications with parents.The following will be considered as assets: • Experience teaching in a large dual-track Intermediate school;• Experience with EAL students and families;• PEI Health & Physical Education training.Note:
