The General Manager (GM) for Hydro North America (NAM) leads the regional organization to drive outcomes for customers, deliver business results and ensure smooth project execution. The GM leads the sales and project teams in US and Canada supported by multi-functional teams to build and deliver on Hydro strategy for New units, Refurbishments and Services in the region (around 400M in order)
Job Description
Acts as voice of Hydro in the Region
Provides leadership to the broader Hydro community in the region, support Talent development and ensure adherence to key pillars of our culture and execution such as Safety, Quality and Compliance.
Understands Regional markets, customers and partners
Owns customer interfaces, and local customer accounts, including Service
Defines Regional partnering strategy
Provides leadership to Sales on opportunities identification and qualification through the Hydro commercial process.
Sets target price and bidding strategy for all Hydro, including Service
Supports definition of Industrial Strategy for projects in Region
Leads submission of winning bids
Owns project execution & outcomes, including Service
Drives Project teams and provides escalation avenue to ONE Hydro
Coordinate and owns cross functional efforts to ensure compliance with local market specific regulatory requirements in both ITO and OTR (eg: US Government, Quebec legislation, etc..)
For Service Projects: Sizes and runs Regional center providing Regional Engineering and Sourcing support in collaboration with functional leaders
Owns tendering and execution outcomes for work for other Regions by delegation of other Regions, if applicable
