The Department of Health & Seniors Care is currently seeking to fill the position of Manager, Corporate Services. The Corporate Services team ensures staff have the right space, services, tools and training to do their jobs. Included in this portfolio: oversight of workplace safety and health initiatives, coordination of staff orientation and training, central mailroom/courier operations, security planning and oversight, procurement and storage of supplies and equipment, central coordination and procurement of information and communication technology solutions and assets (computers, laptops, phones, etc.), parking coordination and fleet management.

Qualifications:
Essential:
Post-secondary degree related to Social Science, Public Administration or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Experience leading or supervising a team with the ability to coach and mentor staff.

Experience in project management including facilitating continuous improvement projects.

Experience in policy and program analysis including design, development, implementation and evaluation.

Experience leveraging opportunities for innovation and finding creative solutions to challenges.

Strong written communication skills for preparing various documents for executive decision makers and stakeholders.

Strong verbal communication skills for effectively communicating with various levels of audiences within the organization.

Highly developed interpersonal skills for building and maintaining positive working relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholders.

Strong political acumen for navigating sensitive and confidential issues with tact and discretion.

Excellent organizational skills for managing competing and rapidly changing priorities with strict timelines.

Proficiency working with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Duties:
The Manager, Corporate Services is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and staff of the Corporate Services team including recruitment, performance management, staff development and succession planning while maintaining a respectful workplace that promotes diversity, inclusion, learning and continuous improvement. The Manager is also responsible for providing advice and support to the Director, Executive Director and other senior departmental officials on team activities, while providing strategic leadership in the design, implementation and continuous improvement of departmental policies, projects, processes and standards.
