Working Conditions:
- This is a temporary part time position based on up to 16 hours per week.
- Ability to lift/move on a regular basis up to 25 pounds.
- This job requires reaching, bending, and stooping frequently, and working in a standing position.
- Travel is associated with this position using a program vehicle.
Normal hours of work: The supervisor will set the hours of work and work schedule as per operational requirements. Some flexibility is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accountabilities:
- Deliver food hampers and meals to food bank clients, as required.
- Provide transportation for clients to and from the food bank and other appointments as required.
- Ensure that all clients are treated with dignity and respect.
- Operate, inspect, and maintain vehicle and related documentation.
- Document/report any vehicle incidents or damage in a timely manner.
- Pick up food orders for Food Bank in area.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education, Qualifications and Certifications:
- Requires completion of Secondary School Diploma.
- Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements:
- Some prior related experience working with multi-barriered persons and a meal delivery program.
- Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and provide an original copy of current driver’s abstract that it satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is required.

- Ability and willingness to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully that are satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion (i.e., The Salvation Army Abuse Registry) and provide an original copy of a Background Check screening.
- Ability and willingness to develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as related to position responsibilities.
