Who You’ll Work With
You will be based in our Toronto office as an integral member of the North America External Relations team. You will create and drive an external communications strategy that supports distinct themes across all Canadian office locations.
As part of our McKinsey North America Reputation team, you will report to our Director of NA Reputation and join a team comprised of geographically-focused and central North America communications colleagues. You will collaborate with various stakeholders across the firm including practice-based communications leads, client operations colleagues, firm leaders and more.
What You’ll Do
You will lead select strategic initiatives specific to the Canadian communications/business agenda.
You will advance the visibility for Canadian leaders by creating and executing against external opportunities (media, speaking opportunities, partnerships, etc.). Some of your activities will include working with a third party PR agency to coordinate opportunities, working directly with Canadian partners to radiate expertise and thought leadership, vetting and coordinating third party sponsorship opportunities, reputation management and in-person and virtual event development and support.
You will drive communications and marketing efforts for our priority Canadian themes. You will develop a radiation plan for each theme and this will involve collaborating with the content expert team and local leaders, coordinating across various initiatives at the firm, and elevating the topic to apply to the workforce and society at large.
You will be an integral thought partner and collaborator to the broader North America Reputation team, working together on a range of activities that may include any of the following: crafting a multi-channel promotion plan for a specific report launch, executing major events, developing new program concepts and bringing it to life. You will share insights that engender trust and confidence among those with whom you collaborate with, ranging from teams of consultants to communications peers to leaders within the firm or our communities. You will serve as a key stakeholder in regional or team meetings and initiatives.
