Description
This position works for the food bank. You must be able to provide support to Food Bank Supervisor. Have organizational skills. Reception duties answering phones, keyboarding, entering statistics in various online platforms.
HOURS:
- 40 hours per week
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drafts and types correspondence related to the nature of the Ministry Unit.
- Work with staff
- Performs general office duties Answers, and screen calls for the entire ministry unit. Answers enquiries greets clients, files documents electronically or manually. Photocopies and distributes materials as receives faxes or emails. Resolves routine enquiries.
- Builds and maintains databases such as Link 2 Feed, SAMIS
- Opens and distributes incoming mail, and process’s outgoing mail which may be of a confidential nature. Receives parcels and distributes.
- Prepares and receives all paperwork for various projects and events such as food drives, and Christmas Hamper distribution.
- Ensure safe work practices when using all equipment.
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications:
- Grade 12 Education
- Specialized courses of up to six months, or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 3-5 years successful related experience, including Administrative, and experience dealing with office equipment and tools.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Related Courses an asset
- Prior successful experience will be considered
Preferred Skills / Capabilities:
- Good Organizational skills.
- Multitasker,
- Good knowledge of Computer Word Excel and office programs.
Physical Effort:
- The job requires a moderate amount of sitting, walking, and keyboarding. You would occasionally be required to stand, bend, and lift up to 10 pounds.

- Completion of our online Armatus Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training
