JOB PURPOSE:
The Warehouse worker (Pricer/Sorter) is to receive, sort, price and pack donations ready for distributing to shelves for The Salvation Army. This position includes continuous standing, bending and lifting.. This is a busy position, the incumbent will be required to work efficiently and manage their time well.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Receive gifts and clothing from various agencies and public.
– Sort clothing, furniture, Misc items and other various responsibilities.
– Continuous standing, bending, and lifting.
– Lifting up to 20 pounds (with assistance)
– Other job related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
– The applicant must be able to contribute as a team player, projecting a positive, professional, and helpful attitude.
– They must have ability to work independently and have the capability to systematically organize.
– The incumbent must be able to maintain confidentiality.
– Proven written and oral communication skills must be able to be demonstrated in daily interactions.
– Must have a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
– A valid driver’s license and a clear driving record are required.
– The ability to model the values and standards of The Salvation Army.
– Cash experience is an asset
NOTE: An alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable.
Working Conditions: Contract Position
40 hours per week – 8:30am to 5:00pm
Must be available to work weekends (every 2nd weekend) and 1-2 evenings a week from 10:30am-7:pm
