Position Purpose Summary:
We are seeking an energetic, outgoing, and highly motivated community member to lead the Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign in Kindersley. The Kettle Coordinator ensures the smooth running of the Kettle Campaign, maximizing donations and coordinating staffing (employees and volunteers). A Kettle Coordinator recruits, trains, schedules, and monitors the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers ensuring ample staff to meet location needs.
This is a full-time fixed term position at up to 40 hours per week. Shifts will be scheduled between Tuesday to Saturday.

End Date: December 23, 2021
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit, train, direct and work alongside volunteers
- Schedule volunteers on the kettle program with volunteer Kettle Coordinator ensuring all kettle location are covered daily
- Coordinate the schedule for kettle staff and cover kettles if no volunteers are available
- Keep accurate records of volunteer.
- Ensure kettle locations are kept well-stocked with supplies (i.e. literature, etc.)
- In conjunction with Volunteer Kettle Coordinator contact churches, businesses and other organizations to fill volunteer spots on kettles
- Deliver and pick-up kettles to/from sites daily (if necessary), ensuring the security of donations.
- Count and deposit donations with another person(not family) and deposit nightly
- Represent The Salvation Army in a positive, professional manner
- Notify Aux. Capt. Glenna Cryderman of kettle donations daily
- Post campaign:
- retrieve all equipment/supplies from various kettle locations.
- debrief current campaign
- Perform other position related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Certifications:
- The successful job applicant will have completed High School.
- NOTE: An alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable.
- Valid Saskatchewan Driver’s license with own vehicle or access to get to kettle location.
- Criminal Police Check.
Experience:
- More than three months but less than one year of prior related experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Experience in office administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced office setting.
- Experience with general office equipment and a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding and support of the Mission of The Salvation Army.
Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:

- This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable drivers abstract. The successful candidate would have to provide proof upon being hired.
