Academic part-time GENS/GENV 2101 – Natural Resources Management

The Department of Geography and Environment at Mount Allison University invites

applications for a stipendiary (part-time) position to teach “Natural Resources

Management” (GENS/GENV 2101), a 2nd year undergraduate course. This course

serves as an introduction to and review of natural resources management in Canada,

with an emphasis on renewable resources including forests, fisheries, wildlife and

protected areas. The course is cross listed in Environmental Science (BSc) and

Environmental Studies (BA) and so addresses both the ecological and human

dimensions of natural resources management and conservation. The class is scheduled

for the 2022 winter term, and will be offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The anticipated class size is 75 students.

The successful applicant will preferably hold a PhD in Environmental Science,

Environmental Studies, or a related field, or be near completion of such.
