The Academic Writing Program | University of Lethbridge (uleth.ca) in the Faculty of Arts and Science invites applications for a nine-month Instructor II term position. The appointment will commence on August 15, 2021, subject to budgetary approval. Depending on Program needs, there may the possibility of extending this nine-month contract. The successful candidate will be expected to teach multiple sections of introductory academic writing as well as one section of writing within the professions (Writing for Engineers), which focuses on clear professional and technical communication. Successful candidates will have at least one year of experience teaching Academic Writing. Experience teaching online would be an asset. The successful candidate will have a Master’s Degree in a related area.

The Academic Writing Program offers introductory and advanced classes in rhetoric and composition at the University of Lethbridge. Our genre-based, writing-in-the disciplines approach to writing instruction ensures that students will gain valuable insight and experience in the theory and practice of reading and writing in the disciplines relevant to their areas of study. AWP courses teach students the reading, writing, and reasoning skills essential for academic as well as professional contexts.
