Various Positions Available:
- 2 permanent, part-time positions available based on 1-7 hours per week
- 1 permanent, part-time position available based on 1-10 hours per week.
The work schedule is determined in consultation with your supervisor and may vary according to requirements of responsibility. Applicable shifts include a ½ hour unpaid meal break. The operational hours of this facility are weeknights and weekends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise children’s visits according to Court orders or other relevant agreements
- Communicate with clients as required regarding childcare instructions, etc.
- Intervene when appropriate to ensure child safety and welfare and terminate visit when required
- Provide feedback/correction to the relevant party as necessary.
- Obtain information gathered during supervised access visits and prepare accurate and detailed documentation of all visits in a timely manner
- Perform other position related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Social Work or Counselling
- Minimum of one (1) year of prior related experience in a Supervised Access program, or in a comparable setting working with children and families in crisis
- Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and First Aid & CPR certifications
- Strong oral and written communication and relational skills
- Negotiation, conciliation and conflict management skills
- Self-motivated and disciplined
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Good interpersonal skills and attentive listening skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Provide an original copy of a Background Check with vulnerable sector screening
- Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License; current copy of a Driver’s abstract that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is required.
- Support for and an understanding of the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada.
