Administrative Assistant
Role Profile
Reporting to the Dean, Applied Research & Innovation (ARI), the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for assisting with confidential administrative activities for ARI and ad-hoc projects for the Centres of Innovations (CoIs). This position is responsible for handling front office reception duties, including greeting guests, answering phones, and responding to all general inquiries. The incumbent will provide support to various committees, compile and maintain various databases, write and edit reports and liaisons with internal and external stakeholders to gather information or materials to complete tasks. In addition, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Dean, ARI, ensuring they are fully prepared for all commitments, including gathering background and meeting material, travel arrangements, scheduling of meetings, event organization, processing expense claims and all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
The successful candidate will have a Business Management or Office Administration diploma.
Experience
The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of administration experience. Knowledge and experience within a college or educational research administration environment are considered an asset.
Skills
Excellent attention to detail.
Developed oral and verbal communication skills.
Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
