We invite applications for the full‐time term position of Admissions Officer in the Office of International Affairs. Reporting to the Manager, International Programs and Partnerships, this position is based at our New Westminster Campus.

You will provide administrative support to the Office of International Affairs, with duties including being responsible for admitting international students in programs and processing program application forms and payments, enhancing the data integrity of the JIBC student information system, tracking and reporting data for transfer credit, participating in several annual projects involving external reporting and projects aimed at improving student experience, and assisting with Office of International and Office of Student Affairs functions.
 
Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Secondary school graduation and a minimum of three years of directly related experience in an educational environment , or an equivalent combination of education and experience; bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline preferred;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with a student enrollment management software, such as Colleague, to process the admission of international students;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of registration management process from recruitment to admission;
  • Knowledge of the BC Transfer Guide and provincial articulation and transfer procedures;
  • Demonstrated understanding of Citizenship and Immigration Canada requirements for study and work permits;

Salary Range:     
$45,741 to $48,925 annually (BCGEU Salary Grid 11) plus .79 per hour in lieu of benefits for an under one year term
