Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: • Applicants must have or be eligible to
hold a PEI Teacher’s License; preference will be given to those with a
concentration/specialization in Senior High Education;•
Significant training and experience in developing and implementing
Individualized Educational Plans and Behaviour Support Plans;• Teaching experience and content expertise at the Senior High level;• Course work in trauma informed teaching practices;• Course work in Social emotional learning• Experience teaching Alternative Education;• Good classroom management and organizational skills;• Knowledge and experience with effective teaching strategies;• Excellent oral and written communication skills with students, parents and colleagues;• Able to demonstrate teamwork and collaborative practices;• Demonstrated commitment to on-going learning and school community.The following would be considered assets: • Current NVCI training;• Conflict Resolution training.Note:
