We are currently seeking a collaborative individual with a keen interest in administrative and energy law to join our team as an Articling Student. Under the supervision of the Articling Principal, the Articling Student will provide legal support and develop hands-on legal skills by working with a team of legal and other professionals across the organization in various areas of law.

Responsibilities:
General legal advice and assistance on issues related to applications, compliance, corporate governance, regulation, privacy, policy initiatives and legal aspects of the OEB’s activities
Participate in hearings before the OEB
Draft OEB legal documents
Conduct legal research and draft legal opinions
Participate in the identification of any potential implications of, or risks associated with, changes in law, operations, processes, policies or contracts
Qualifications:
Completion of the prerequisites required to participate in the Law Society of Ontario Articling Program
Interest in administrative and energy law
Superior written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, organization and problem-solving skills
Adaptability to work effectively and cooperatively in a variety of situations and with various individuals and/or multi-disciplinary groups, including remotely
Compensation:
$39/hr ($73,515 annualized)
The OEB will provide Law Society Fee reimbursement (up to $4625 with proof of payment) upon successful completion of the articling term

Summer 2022 (10 months)
