What you will be doing:
Support the Director, Talent & Culture, in implementing hotel strategy, including coaching, counseling, hiring, retaining, rewarding, and developing the best colleagues
Act as an ambassador of our brand and role model for our company values of Trust, Respect, Guest Passion, Innovation, Sustainable Performance, and Spirit of Conquest
Ensure the welfare and well-being of employees in line with employment legislation, company standards, equal opportunities and best practice
Provide a comprehensive and efficient HR service to both management and team members
Manage and develop the Talent & Culture team
Recruit and retain diverse talent that support and embody our company culture
Support, coach and develop leaders across the business
Play an instrumental part in employee engagement through coordination of recognition, social events, and well-being initiatives
Manage Employee and Labour Relations according to Company policies, procedures, and legislation
Coordinate and deliver training, learning and development opportunities, such as New Heartist Orientation, Service Culture and Heartist Training, Discrimination & Harassment Prevention Training, etc.
Manage the performance evaluation process
Conduct talent departure appointments and interviews
Ensure accuracy and completion of employee file administration and payroll changes in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legislation
Provide support and direction in retirement and benefits administration, workforce accommodation and disability management
Responsible for all statutory requirements of the department
Perform duties of Director, Talent & Culture, in their absence
All other duties and projects as assigned by Director, Talent & Culture
Your experience and skills include:
Previous HR Manager experience required, hospitality industry preferred
Experience or background in employee and labour relations preferred
Service focused personality is essential with ability to make others feel welcome and valued
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
Excellent communication skills
HIghly organized and detail-oriented
Strong leadership with ability to build, develop, lead and motivate a team
Driven, ambitious, and high performing individual
Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal employment, labour, and immigration laws

You wll be working in a fast-paced environment on a team of highly motivated and dedicated individuals that place people at the heart of everything we do
