The Department of Psychology is a thriving department that offers a BA with a Major or Minor in Psychology, with the curriculum centred on psychological science. The department also has a vibrant Honours program supported by several strong research programs. Innovative teaching and faculty-student interactions are highly valued and are a draw for many students and faculty.
We are excited to be building our capacity for programming in applied psychology and invite applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor in Clinical or Community Psychology. This is a teaching intensive position (teaching/service). The position is dependent on budgetary approval. The appointment is scheduled to commence on August 1, 2021.
The candidate should be able to teach undergraduate courses in clinical and/or community psychology and in one or more of the following applied areas: health, applied social psychology, aging, forensics, counselling, environmental psychology. The candidate will also be expected to teach introductory psychology. The ability to teach research methods and quantitative analyses would be an asset.
Applicants should demonstrate an ability to engage diverse student populations and to bring a lens of equity and inclusion to their teaching. The successful candidate will be a committed and passionate teacher and have evidence of effective teaching or show potential to be an outstanding teacher committed to scholarly teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should hold a PhD in Psychology obtained prior to July 1, 2021. Interested candidates should submit a current CV, sample course syllabi, a statement of teaching philosophy, and list of courses taught/willing to teach.
