Tourism 111; Introduction to Tourism

Duties: College of the Rockies requires an instructor to teach the TOUR 111; Introduction to Tourism course. The successful candidate will be expected to teach both face to face and remotely, either in a synchronous (Teams interactive videoconference) or asynchronous (Moodle online course) delivery mode. Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management or a closely related degree is required. Experience teaching in a post-secondary setting, experience teaching online courses, and with using learning management systems and a demonstrated commitment to the academic needs of non-traditional students, including second language students, will be considered an asset.

Salary: As per the faculty salary schedule. The spring course will include lecture and lab of 60 hours and an additional preparation time for a total of 102.5 paid hours. For the fall semester and beyond, the lab will be discontinued consisting of a 45-hour course with additional preparation time for a total of 90 paid hours.
Successful candidates may be required to complete a Criminal Record Check.
