The Village of Valemount is seeking a highly-motivated individual possessing excellent organizational communication and organizational skills to fill the position of Bylaw Enforcement Officer. Under the supervision of the Deputy Corporate Officer, this position emphasizes public education and relations, offering a unique opportunity to work both as an enforcement officer and community liaison. Work involves providing information and assistance to the public, carrying out regular patrols, responding to bylaw complaints, animal control, gathering evidence and preparing all documentation necessary for effective enforcement of Village bylaws.

HOURS OF WORK AND COMPENSATION:
Weekly schedules may vary depending on the season. This position is 37.5 hours a week. Compensation ranges from $29.00 to $32.00/hr. depending on experience and qualifications of the successful candidate. A complete benefit package including municipal pension is provided. Ongoing training will be provided at the discretion and approval of the Chief Administrative Officer.

This position may be deemed subject to a trial or probation period. The successful candidate will be required to submit to a criminal record check and results will be a determining factor if the candidate is employable within this position.
