TONZ is a start-up with a fundamentally different approach to audio processing. We use machine learning (ML) methods to model audio processing devices and techniques directly. Our optimized ML-audio backend can then apply these model transformations in real-time, in any block audio processing system. Simply put, we send a lot of audio data through a device and record what that device did. Our ML technology then learns how to transform new audio the same way the device did. We have engineered a novel solution to provide that transformation in real-time, in customer-facing software products.
We’re bringing the studio to our customers’ homes, at a level of detail only available with our technology. Our neural net models train in hours of time, on data alone. This is an order of magnitude reduction in development time and resources compared to traditional digital audio software engineering solutions. That’s only half the story, though. The other half is the wealth of new audio processing interactions available by harnessing the advantages unique to machine learning techniques. Our technology stands to outperform traditional techniques on complex nonlinear communication problems – such as noise reduction, source separation, speaker source identification – and beyond.
Role and opportunity
As the Chief Executive Officer of TONZ, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the business.
Our team is a strong audio product development team that is looking for a leader to maintain high-level interactions with the company, customers, and investors: this includes revenue generation, development of the executive team, fundraising, and growth of the organization. This is a hands-on role for a dedicated and knowledgeable executive who is looking to lead a highly skilled and motivated start-up and help redefine how audio processing products are made across industries.
