Recon Health, a joint venture between XCO Tech Inc. and Atlazo Inc., is transforming continuous health monitoring for chronic disease patients. The company’s health patch is unlike any competitive wearable or medical device given it uses AI based edge computing algorithms to assess multiple health conditions. Those algorithms embedded on the device convert troves of sensor data into information the patient and physician can use to better manage chronic diseases. The device addresses the growing need for more accurate, objective and evidence based decision making throughout virtual care, including telehealth appointments. This new paradigm in healthcare is leading to advancement such as greater personalized care and patient empowerment.

The Role

Recon is looking for a CEO/President with a consumer centric, data driven mindset who loves to disrupt the status quo with big ideas and who truly wants to make a difference in introducing continuous monitoring of patient-centered healthcare! You will be able to successfully navigate both the D2C and B2B healthcare markets, with an ability to balance the need for both top of the funnel awareness and bottom of the funnel lead generation. You will be passionate about the brand as well as knowledgeable about go-to-market strategies for innovative products.

The markets we are in (medtech, digital health, telemedicine, ecommerce, wellness, precision medicine, medical data, care coordination) give us unlimited opportunities. Your primary responsibility will be to develop solid business fundamentals (predictable revenues, customer growth, KPIs) while making moves for exponential valuation jumps (brand leadership, strategic partnerships, momentum, unique market differentiators).

What You Will Do:

  • Work as a team with the Board to package and scale the business with a balanced approach to cash flow and incremental capitalization efforts. (We anticipate strong cash flow and want to leverage this into favorable capitalization terms so that we stay ahead of market competition)
  • Identify, leverage and fully take advantage of established partnerships with both global enterprises and emerging startups
  • Craft, refine, and operationalize Recon’s D2C and B2B operations ensuring coherence and seamlessness with a user’s lifetime experience with the brand (from first contact through to purchasing and support)
  • Take a rapid iterative approach to move quickly through product fit into market scale. This business is primed for growth, tuned to the customer needs at every step of the way to create a winning brand with stellar customer lifetime value metrics
  • Understand the value of a brand, build one over time, while embracing the D2C nature of our business and our digital delivery mechanisms including personalized health solutions, subscription models, physician champion networks and virtual care ecosystems.
  • Identify and manage risk in your models, with a sensitivity for how risk changes as the company, product, and market lifecycles evolve
  • Deepen delivery infrastructure to ensure success with efficiently serving varying patient populations and needs as Recon scales (e.g., distribution, customer support, communication channels, CRM tools, escalation workflows)
  • Manage a highly complex and regulated network, balancing supply and demand, while incorporating legal, product, and client implementation strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in Marketing, Program Management, Product, Development and Engineering to create annual strategic roadmaps with quarterly objectives, iteratively defining KPIs and dashboards to monitor and assess performance
  • Have fun leading by example – be an entrepreneurial leader but one who understands the value of building a company culture.

We’re looking for you to bring:

  • 10+ years relevant marketing, sales and operational experience, with experience in healthcare, growing digital health and/or medtech and/or telehealth revenue
  • A team player attitude with a passion about healthcare and innovations in the industry
  • Demonstrated track record leading national marketing and sales teams (internal and external) across the full suite of marketing and sales functions
  • D2C marketing experience required, including innovative models that deliver health services direct to consumers, web or app subscription models
  • B2B marketing and sales experience is also preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking and experience making data-driven, results-oriented decisions
  • Strong writing, communications and track record of successfully addressing the needs of a young organization

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Remuneration includes a salary, stock options and benefits based on experience. The position will require remote management of teams, customers and stakeholders. You are ideally located in or near a large North American health market. Start date is negotiable over the next six months.
