Successful applicants meeting the employer’s qualification standard will be added to the list of Casual
Housekeepers used to staff current and on-going requirements within the Municipal Child Care
Centres. Their names will also be placed on an Eligibility List for a period of one year from the closing date of
this competition.

Responsible for performing general housekeeping duties to maintain a high standard of hygiene in municipal child care centre while placing an emphasis on safety. Work is performed in accordance with corporate, departmental and branch policies, procedures and guidelines, and the Early Years Act.
Education & Experience
Completion of Grade 10.
A minimum of one (1) month experience in institutional housekeeping.
- Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.
Language, Certificates & Licenses
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check with the Police Services detachment in their jurisdiction to the City of Ottawa’s satisfaction. Police record checks completed by a third-party company will not be accepted.
