We are seeking a creative, organized, and passionate educator to book, promote, and deliver outdoor nature education programs for school and community groups children. Reporting to the Education Manager and working closely with education staff, the Children and Youth Education Coordinator delivers educational programming covering a diverse range of local ecosystems (forest, wetland and intertidal ecosystems which are offered to schools between September and June and to day camp children during summer and spring break. SPES’ school programs reach over 5,000 students a year through outdoor, experiential programs, that foster environmental literacy and a love and curiosity for the natural world.

We are seeking a second Children and Youth Coordinator, that will fulfill one of the following two roles:

Field Trip Coordinator role – Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 5p.m., with some flexibility and occasional weekend or evening work may be required.

Camps and Clubs Coordinator role – Monday-Friday or Tuesday- Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5p.m. depending on what programs we want to run and Nature House shifts, with some flexibility and more frequent weekend or evening work may be required.

Pay band: Starting at $20.86 hourly, with optional benefits after 6 months of continuous employment
