Description
The Kettle Campaign Assistant will support the smooth running of the Kettle Campaign in order to maximizing donations through the coordination of the counting team. We are looking for a highly organized and highly trustworthy person with strong number skills who is willing to adhere to the mission and values of The Salvation Army and will represent The Salvation Army in a positive, professional manner.
Work Hours:
- Up to 20 hours per week, mostly mornings
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with a small team coordinating all aspects of the counting process
- Recruit, train, and schedule and supports kettle counter volunteers
- Assists with Tip-Tap machines and training workers and volunteers
- Prepare detailed daily Kettle counter reports
- Make bank deposits as required
- Supports other aspects of Christmas Programming if needed (i.e. food and toy program)
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to adhere to the Mission Statement of and the values of The Salvation Army
- Enthusiastic team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous banking and supervisory experience, and volunteer experience will be an asset
- High standards of integrity, judgment and confidentiality
- Strong decision-making, organizational skills and a strong team player
- General office skills and experience, familiar in using various office equipment
- Proficiency on various computer programs; Microsoft WORD, Excel, spreadsheets, database
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to meet deadlines and cope with stressful situations
- Agreeable to a flexible, non-routine schedule
- Knowledge and interest in the programs and services this campaign supports
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license, a clean driver’s abstract, and access to a personal vehicle for business purposes
- Must obtain a Criminal Record Check in accordance with Criminal Records Review Program
