This is a temporary, seasonal position based upon 20 hours per week. The hours of work and work schedule will vary as per the operational requirements, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Flexibility in scheduling is required. Varied shifts.
Start Date: November 22th, 2021
End Date: January 7th, 2022

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As directed perform tasks and duties associated with the operation of the Christmas Kettle campaign, including kettle set up and/or pickups
- Drive to various locations throughout the City of Brantford and Paris to deliver promotional materials, solve equipment problems, meet volunteers, and stand at a kettle when required.
- Assist with the delivery and pick-up of kettles to/from sites daily, ensuring the security of donation; host at a kettle as required ensuring necessary coverage for breaks, etc. and ensure that kettle locations have adequate supplies of literature and promotional materials
- Represent The Salvation Army in a positive, professional manner.
- Assist with, tear down, and post campaign retrieval of equipment/supplies from various kettle locations and assist with other post-Christmas Campaign tear down.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of High School
- Good driving knowledge of the City of Brantford and Paris
- Applicant must have own vehicle and may claim mileage as per Salvation Army policy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and disciplined
- This job requires the ability to lift up to 20 lbs/10 kilos
- Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s license, and an original copy of a driver’s abstract that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is required
- Support for and an understanding of mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada.
