Description
The Kettle Worker provides the secure and courteous oversight of a designated Christmas Kettle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent is responsible for the following range of job duties characteristic, or typical of the job class:
– Greets and thanks donors courteously
– Presents a positive image (well-groomed/dressed) for TSA while on duty
– Remains at the Kettle for the full shift (until relieved), ensuring security of donations received
– Responds to questions/queries from potential donors regarding SA ministries and programs
– Performs other duties as assigned
NOTE: Not all incumbents perform all of the duties described above but perform a similar range of duties.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL ATTAINED:
The successful job applicant will have completed Public School.
NOTE: An alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable.
MINIMUM PRIOR RELATED EXPERIENCE:
The incumbent must have the following experience before hire:
Up to three months of prior related experience, or previous experience working with the public.
PHYSICAL EFFORT/DEXTERITY REQUIRED:
The performance of the job requires continuously hosting the kettle, standing for long periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The incumbent’s work environment is typically in Malls/Stores.
The incumbent will work under the following disagreeable conditions:
For some – outdoor kettles means continual exposure to elements
