Position Purpose Summary:
This position will assist with all things Christmas. Helping to collect, retain information from applicants, creation, and distribution of toy hampers, help to participate in community events and assist with the Christmas Kettle Campaign. Must hold a valid driver’s license.
This is a temporary fixed-term position at 40 hours per week. Shifts will vary, and will be scheduled between Monday and Saturday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer phone calls and collect information from applicants
- Assist to sort and bag toys for allocation
- Record documentation from people needing assistance
- Assist to deliver and collect kettles as needed
- Assist with the counting of kettle donations
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications and Education requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
*NOTE: You may be required to provide validated educational documentation.
Minimum Prior Related Experience:
- Dealing with members of the public
Experience:
- Training will be provided
Required Skills/Knowledge:
The performance of the job requires some continuous standing for long periods of time. Frequent twisting, bending, crouching, reaching, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling, lifting up to 40 lbs., kneeling, processing information for data entry.

Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:
- Background police check
- Education verification
- This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable drivers abstract. The successful candidate would have to provide proof upon being hired.
