Clinical Education Specialist

collaboration with the sales team and education team to maintain and develop Motion Composites reputation as a leader of education in the complex rehabilitation industry and to maintain and develop sales of Motion Composites products with US and Canadian accounts. Develop and implement clinically relevant education programs and clinical case studies that highlight benefits of Motion Composites products.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with sales team, management team and education team to plan, organize and execute in‐services with rehab centers, hospitals and community health organizations in Canada and the US on a regular basis. Complete follow up communication via email and complete data entry of attendees on in‐service tracking forms.

Develop clinical evidence based best practice papers and presentations for national and international seating and mobility conferences. Including CEU programs and case studies.

Maintain appropriate records of all CEU programs as mandated by the credentialing bodies.

Recognize, develop and execute learning objectives to roll out to clinicians and dealer representatives on the value and benefits of Motion Composites products.

Collaborate with management team and education team to regularly plan, produce and submit educational clinical presentations to major seating/therapist focused conferences and tradeshows and be willing and able to present content to audiences of 10 to 200.

Attend monthly teleconference sales meetings with both the Canadian and US sales teams and participate as needed.

Contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach with internal training objectives and education with customer service agents and Motion Composites sales representatives.

Carry out regular tradeshow duties including planning, assisting with set up and tear down of materials, working the floor including providing in-booth presentations and conversing with clients including end users, vendors, other manufacturers, funding executives and possible business partners.

Work with managers, sales team and educational team to plan, develop, and execute Sales Representative new hire training.

Independently manage and execute Motion Composites donation program, (Wishes for Wheels), including reviewing and selecting submissions, facilitating communication between all involved parties and following up to complete the User’s story.

Participation in new product development including independently planning, organizing and facilitating customer focus groups and summarizing and presenting this information in a clear, concise way to the R&D team; contribute knowledge, experience and personal ideas to new product projects; be able to review prototypes with customers and receive and summarize feedback for the R&D team.

Take the lead role in the planning, development and writing of editorial articles for leading mobility magazines and Motion Composites blog.

Attend training to further develop relevant knowledge and skills as necessary.

Qualifications

Person profile -‐ Clinical Education Specialist

Personality: Self‐driven, results‐oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit. A natural forward planner and team-player who critically assesses own performance. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person’s point of view. Professionally presented. Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel up to 2 weeks a month within Canada, the US and occasionally Internationally. Ready for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get along with others and be a team player.

Personal Situation: Home office with the ability to travel outside of home office 50% of the year or more. Travel territory includes Canada, the USA and occasionally international locations.

Computer skills: Must be proficient in use of MS Office, particularly Power Point, Excel Word, Sharepoint and internet, email

Clinical Background: Occupational therapist or Physical therapist with background and knowledge in seating and positioning and complex mobility equipment, particularly with manual wheelchairs. Minimum 5 years experience working directly with wheelchair assessment, prescription including wheelchair set up and basic maintenance. Knowledge of provincial and state funding programs for mobility equipment an asset.

Presentation Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face communicator. Able to demonstrate success and experience presenting to large and small groups. Able to engage with the audience and relay clinical and company information in a clear, concise, and comfortable way.
