As a Clinical Extern at HSN, you would be joining a dynamic multidisciplinary team of medical

and rehabilitation professionals who are highly dedicated to provide exemplary care to patients

and families in Northeastern Ontario.

The Clinical Extern Program is an exciting opportunity available to nursing, paramedic,

undergraduate medicine, and respiratory therapy students to enhance their skills in a hands on

setting. The education requirements are as follows:
Nursing  BScN or BN Program: 2nd to 4th year

• PN Program: Final year

Paramedic  Approved paramedic program: 2nd year

Undergraduate Medicine  MD Program: final year or recent Canadian medical

graduates awaiting the start of residency

Respiratory  Diploma in Respiratory Therapy: 2nd to 3rd year

Externs will be working in the capacity of an unregulated health care provider. HSN is seeking

Externs to work in various departments and statuses across the organization. Opportunities

are available immediately for various durations until March 2022. The rate of pay will be

$17.80/ hour.
