Reporting to the Regional Director, the College Director serves as the leader, team-builder and operations manager of a Sprott Shaw College campus. The College Director is focused on student outcomes, matters of compliance, and operating efficiencies.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations at the campus level
Ensure that all school policies and procedures are adhered to
Verify that students meet all the admission requirements and give the final approval for enrollment into the campus
Determine program schedules based on student enrollment and ensure physical resources such as classroom space, textbooks, and equipment meet the programs’ needs
Review student courses and teacher evaluations and address any concerns
Recruit and train instructional and support staff
Conduct performance appraisals and become responsible for performance management of support staff
Supervise and guide the financial administrator through the period-end process
Address any student queries or concerns
Prepare written reports and attend meetings as requested
Ensure that the campus is clean, safe, and free of hazards by conducting regular safety inspections
Assist in preparing the annual budget for the campus
Qualifications and Education
Undergraduate degree or professional designation accompanied by five years of experience in adult education
Knowledge of the private college education sector and best practices in post-secondary education
Knowledge of governance issues and matters of compliance, with experience in audit processes
Supervisor experience with fiscal management preferred
Demonstrated strengths in leadership, team building, staff development and, creating productive and collegial workplace environments
Skills

Ability to multitask and manage time-sensitive activities
Strong skills in MS Office and database systems
Advanced communication skills with experience in producing timely and accurate reports
