Our client is a non-profit organization (NPO) whose mission is to help individuals who are disadvantaged in terms of employment. This socio-professional integration enterprise allows people to improve their employment skills and behaviours while developing a better understanding of the reality and issues related to the labour market. Our client works in the field of commercial and industrial cabinet making.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION :
Under the supervision of the general manager, the – accountant is responsible for managing the company’s accounts and, more generally, its financial health. He/she is in charge of drawing up the accounting books, controlling banking operations and preparing documents for the tax and social security authorities. He/she carries out the complete accounting cycle up to the trial balance. He/she acts as a resource person for internal stakeholders and external partners and ensures the training and follow-up of an administrative clerk. He/she ensures the follow-up of costing and financial tools and supervises the financial management of the various projects under development.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform bookkeeping on Simply Accounting

Prepare month-end and year-end entries and reports

Preparing the year-end auditor’s file

  • Collaborate in the preparation of the NPO’s annual budgets
  • Produce statutory reports (GST/QST)
  • Prepare interim financial statements
  • Prepare reports required by lenders and creditors
  • Prepare cash flow report and other balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform billing
  • Supervising or preparing employee payroll
  • Establish the cost price and carry out analyses
  • Ensuring the correct accounting of inventory entries and withdrawals
  • Performing adequate control through inventory count
  • Ensure the management of the complete sales cycle via the IT tool.

SOUGHT-AFTER SKILLS:

  • Hold a DEC in accounting with 10 years of experience or a BACC in accounting with 5 years of experience;
  • Master the Office suite software (Word and Excel) and Simply Accounting SAGE 50;
  • Analytical mind; sense of responsibility; very good aptitude for versatility;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong team spirit, multi-tasking management and ability to work in an NPO and social economy environment.

  • Excellent written and spoken French. English an asset.
