The Creative Content Assistant will work with and support the PRA Youth team in developing creative content to better advance mission effectiveness.
- Temporary position for November and December 2021 and change to casual on call January to May 2022
- 20-25 hours per week
- Schedule to be determined
The Salvation Army requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to provide proof of full vaccination. Requests for exemption from the policy due to medical reasons or other grounds protected by provincial human rights legislation will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and edit videos
- Social media advertising and creating of posters using Canva
- Input music, dialogues, subtitles, graphics, and effects to media as needed
- Combine footage of participants asked to make a video submission
- Create and present all videos and images so that they are clear and easy to understand
- Set up of online events
- Troubleshoot any technical issues
- Create marketing materials and other collaterals to reflect and stay consistent with The Salvation Army’s brand
- Execute visual concepts for social media and branded digital content
- Photograph and edit images to align with brand standards
- Develop and maintain the digital media archives, including graphics, photos, videos, etc.
- Ensure projects are completed with high quality, brand standards and on schedule
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education, Qualifications and Certifications:
- Grade 12 diploma
Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements:
- Experience in video editing software
- Experience or training in multimedia design may be required
- Experience with online video and image creation tools
Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:
- Background check consent
