Position Purpose summary:
The incumbent will be responsible to complete janitorial tasks while maintaining a high level of quality, service, cleanliness, and safety in accordance with the organizations procedures and standards as outlined by their respective supervisor.
This is a permanent part-time position at 14 hours per week. Shifts are Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent is a member of the team responsible for the following range of job duties characteristic, or typical of the job class:
– Sweep and wash floors as assigned
– Clean washrooms as assigned
– Remove and replace garbage and recycling
– Aid in the turnover of overflow areas and clean as per template
– Stripping, waxing and buffing floors throughout facility as needed
– Wash linens/laundry as needed
– Other assigned duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications and Education requirements:

Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Driver’s license/Abstract
- Current First Aid/CPR “C”
- Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check
Experience:
- One year of prior related experience

Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills
