Job Summary:
Work with students from Grades 7 – 12 to support them with summer school classes in an online format. You will be assisting the e-learning teachers in supporting the students. This will include working with individual students or small groups of students online with their learning, assignments, answering subject specific questions, assisting students who may require accommodations, reviewing lessons taught by the teacher with students and other such tasks as assigned.
Major Duties:
1. Assist students with their academic progress in an online format.
2. Complete other such duties as assigned by the Principal.
Equipment Used:
Computer with Video & Microphone capabilities/ Programs: (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Office 365/ Google Meet/ D2L / Padlet/ Desmos / Google Classroom
Qualifications:
1. Preference will be given to applicants who are currently university students in a Concurrent or Consecutive Education Program, or a current University/College student who may be considering a career related to education. Studies in the area of English, Mathematics or Science disciplines are preferred.
2. Experience working with students in a school environment is an asset.
3. Experience with e-learning or such course modes of delivery.

- Access to a computer/laptop with speaker and microphone & internet needed.
- The class start date is July 5, 2021, however there will be PD provided in late June or early July, date to be announced once all tutors are hired.
- If you are successful you will need to provide a Criminal Background Check / Police Check with (VSS) that is no more than 6 months old.
