Director

Reporting to the Vice-President, Quality Care and Safety (Chief Nursing Officer), the Director of Care (DOC) leads and oversees resident care, recreation, therapies, social work, family care and medical relation areas of Porteous Lodge, a 99-bed long-term care home. As a member of the Quality and Safety Portfolio Team, the DOC assists in the development, promotion and execution of the corporate strategic plan including the vision, mission, values and Eden TM philosophy by modeling desired culture, and formulating objectives and operational goals.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing

Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)

Experience

10 years post-designation experience with continued growth in responsibilities and increased complexity of roles. Experience in a senior leadership position Experience developing and leading innovative planning and programs in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment Experience in gerontology is considered an asset. At least 3 years experience at an operational level, as a leader who has developed and led innovative planning and programs in a complex, multi- stakeholder environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Jubilee Residences Inc. owns and operates five facilities in Saskatoon with the intent to expand its social housing portfolio through new property development in the next five years.
