You’ll prime the strategic and thoughtful execution of critical negotiations on behalf of the Connected Home & Entertainment team and ultimately the Home Solutions organization. Working with your team you’ll evaluate new lines of business, review opportunities to expand existing products and services while focusing on revenue generation.

Joining this team, you’ll have the opportunity to break new ground when it comes to strategic partnerships in Canada by supporting the continued trajectory and growth of both the TELUS brand and our valued partners. This is a very unique leadership role where you’ll partner with some of the best industry leaders both in Canada and across the globe.

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

This is a rare opportunity to join the Connected Home & Entertainment leadership team reporting directly to the Senior Vice-President. Working in the fast paced, creative and dynamic world of consumer product and marketing.

Using your thought leadership along with your team you’ll Identify, negotiate and launch Affiliate Distribution partnerships with big box retail and complimentary service providers for TELUS’ suite of products and services as well as evaluate white space and adjacent opportunities.

Here’s how

Develop and execute business plans to incubate new Connected Home and Entertainment offerings, expand existing products and services to new customer groups and improve ARPU and profitability.

Identify, negotiate and launch Affiliate Distribution partnerships with vertical channel partners and complimentary service providers for TELUS’s suite of products and services.

Initiate, structure, negotiate and execute partnership deals with Device Partners for distribution and promotion of TELUS services, ensuring TELUS receives the optimum terms and conditions.

Negotiate vendor agreements that enhance product and service value propositions.

Negotiate key hardware agreements that augment our Connected Home vision and strategy.

Build and maintain in depth relationships with business unit leaders within TELUS to facilitate strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle:
Known for your critical eye and thoughtful communications, you understand the target audience, and bring forward new ideas for connecting with people

With significant experience in media, data or technology companies:

An expert negotiator known for executing deals at senior levels of major media and technology companies

Experience negotiating with connected device OEMs for distribution of digital media services, minimizing economics and maximizing reach

Noted for your communication skills, you have a knack for influencing peers as well as senior leaders in a variety of forums; you can explain complex ideas simply and translate them into creative and practical strategies

Recognized for your ability to identify opportunity and use data to inform decisions. You simply information, streamline complex data and details into compelling visual presentations and make meaningful insights

With extraordinary program management and analytical skills, and an ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively

Great-to-haves

MBA

Foreign language or international experience is a plus

Prior experience within strategy consulting or investment banking is a plus.
