DUTIES:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Community, Business Development and Employment Services the successful incumbent will:

  • Provide vital support to the Executive Director and the Northern Training Division through the planning, professional project management, leadership and execution of community and business development opportunities and initiatives that support the economic and social development of the communities;
  • Manage multiple large, multi-faceted, complex corporate/community accounts and projects concurrently during each process of the project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution/roll-out, monitoring and close-out;
  • Manage expectations and stakeholder interests and satisfaction;
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, develop budgets and ensure the delivery of project objectives on time and within budget while also meeting the division’s revenue and retention targets;
  • Meet with industry partners annually and as required to support effective account management;
  • Provide professional project management leadership and coaching;
  • Contribute to the professional development of project resources; and
  • Contribute significantly to the development of Northern Training Division business strategies, and standard business processes.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
The incumbent will possess the following qualifications:

  • 4-year Degree in Business Administration or a related field is required;
  • Project Management Certification is required;
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a leadership position, customer relations, and corporate account management;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Management with a strong record of delivering quality project outcomes within defined scope, time and cost/budget parameters;
  • Experience leading teams and advising and coaching staff;
  • Financial experience that requires accountability for preparing and adhering to budgets;
  • Proven supervisory experience in a setting that promotes teamwork, respect for others and recognition for effective performance;
  • Excellent leadership, motivational, conflict resolution and mediation skills;
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
  • Customer-focused with strong analytical skills;
  • Excellent emotional intelligence; and
  • Advanced computer skills.
