Department Summary:
The Financial Services Distribution Operations team is responsible for the partnership and support of the Distribution Leadership team in the development and execution of the national distribution strategy. In addition, this team prepares, supports, and helps Field Directors, Regional Directors and Consultants in fulfilling organizational change.
Position Summary:
This role is a key resource to the Distribution Leadership team by supporting the organization, management and execution of strategic projects for field support and business growth. This role requires superior communication, organizational, project management and change management skills. The incumbent will play an integral role in change management for both Distribution and cross divisional strategic initiatives that have an impact on the field network. This includes conceptualizing, designing and implementing change deliverables to the field to increase awareness, action and adoption while minimizing any negative impact on field productivity.
Duties Include:
Working in partnership with the SVP Distribution Operations, VP Distribution Planning & Support as well as the VP Distribution Technologies, acts as project and program manager and assists in the implementation and on-going execution of initiatives impacting the field network and Distribution Leadership team:
Establishes and manages support functions covering planning, tracking, reporting, quality management and internal communications.
Produces consolidated reporting including milestone summary, key issues, risks, benefits, summary of costs incurred.
Develops and manages organizational change management (OCM) plans from initiation through to post-implementation with a Distribution lens.
Ensures projects stay on track with responsibilities for follow-up and quick identification of any change risks, issues or opportunities.
Plan and drive adoption ‘campaigns’ (reward, recognition, communication, support) to the field.
Participates in the conceptualization, development, implementation and support of adoption tactics as well as adoption reports for senior leaders and the field.
Acts as key liaison and change management advocate and oversight for Distribution for both internal strategic initiatives, as well as cross divisional initiatives working closely with the Strategy Execution Office, the Portfolio Delivery Office as well as the Enterprise Project Management Office.
Identifying fundamental business drivers and affecting necessary change management strategies and tactics to best support field delivery.
Provides support in the preparation of presentation material for communications, board presentations, field events, and internal meetings.
Qualifications:
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively at all levels.
7+ years’ experience working in a financial services industry setting.
Completion of a post-secondary degree or equivalent applicable to the role.
Project management & Change management certifications highly preferred
Strong technical, analytic and visionary skills, with the ability to build a compelling presentation for communication or business case support and anticipate necessary strategy changes, and/or field support opportunities.
Ability to execute against multiple projects and excel in a fast-paced environment with an evolving portfolio of strategic projects and programs.
Proficiency in using MS Excel, MS Word, Microsoft projects and MS PowerPoint. Experience with Salesforce is an asset
Knowledge of Distribution Network and expertise of IG Wealth Management products, policies, and procedures preferred.
Ability to work autonomously, with high levels of initiative, accountability, and a progressive attitude towards innovation and change.
Bilingual preferred but not mandatory.
