As a Director of Engineering, you’ll manage a group of scrum teams collaborating on a strategically important set of interconnected products. You’ll work a strong team of product managers, engineering managers, and architects to build a plan, make important decisions, coordinate with other teams, and deliver valuable capabilities to Seismic’s platform. You’ll get your hands dirty with business goals, technology, process, people management, and resource planning. Seismic is a ton of fun because we’re growing fast, everyone works together, and we double down our bets on a regular basis.
Who you are:
A seasoned second-line manager, able to guide multiple teams and a diverse set of initiatives, stakeholders, and constraints
A capable engineering leader who understands enterprise SaaS down to its bones
A low-ego problem-solver, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
What you’ll be doing
Working directly with product and engineering leaders to build a plan and execute it
Managing and mentoring a strong team of engineers and managers
Providing a consistent vision and plan for a set of interdependent teams
Making important and technical and organizational decisions
Driving cross-team and cross-functional coordination
