As the Director, Environment, Health and Safety you will provide the EHS strategic direction for all business lines under our Sales and Marketing Operations, and will be responsible to ensure alignment to the company’s overall risk reduction efforts and strategic goals.

What you’ll need to succeed:
Responsible to develop strategy and implement the Environmental, Health and Safety Program for the Sales and Marketing Operations; including Irving Energy, Tractor Trailer Operations, Retail and Fleet, Irving Blending and Packaging, Delivered Natural Gas, Fixed Based Operations and Wholesale & Specialty.
Responsible to develop and lead/implement the EHS Operating Plans. The EHS Operating Plan focuses on the execution of critical EHS processes including but not limited to incident management action management, EHS training including compliance and program requirements, reduction in injuries and environmental spills, asset integrity, food safety, TDG compliance, WHMIS, Life Saving Rules etc.
Manage the existing Environment, Health and Safety program and continuously improve
Manage SMO Compliance programs with regard to EHS and operational requirements, provide oversight/reporting of results and correction of identified non-compliances.
Trend and analyze EHS data to identify patterns, determining focus areas
Report weekly, monthly and quarterly on Sales & Marketing’s EHS performance. Provide SMO input and validation for Board level reports including input as required to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Report.
Lead Quarterly Safety and Compliance Scorecard development, implementation and reporting on behalf of SMO Leadership Team.
Lead a team of EHS managers, EHS coordinators, Cintellate Administrator/Lead Investigator, Project Co-Ordinator and Mechanical Engineer.
Alignment to the Company’s overall EHS strategic initiatives.

Education and experience
Post-secondary preferred.
Experience in EHS, operations and distribution.
CRSP and other HSE designation recommended.
7-10 years of management experience.
Previous energy and petroleum experience not required but considered an asset.
Experience in MS Office Suite.
Travel required
