General Mission:
To lead, at BL level, the Global Projects Management Office (GPMO) that supports the Projects managers in order to increase delivery of services provided to Project Managers through all phases, in particular for data management, risk mitigation and planning, support threats and opportunities management, but also to contribute to the oversight of all projects activities. The GPMO implements appropriate management techniques according to Thales best practices, and complies with Thales projects procedures.

The GPMO is composed by several roles : Project Planners, Project Admins, PMO Specialists, Project Office Managers (POM) and Project Data Managers. GPMO might also host some dedicated small PMO team to execute some projects during some ramp-down phases (competitiveness).

Key Accountabilities:
Provide the support and expertise necessary to projects, programs or portfolio management.

Develop and maintain detailed comprehensive project schedules, cost estimates, staffing and risk assessment board to support the implementation and execution of the projects.

Ensuring support to projects for Threats and opportunities management

Support project launch from Bids to Project Handover to Project launch to ensure a proper start of the project.

Ensure the execution of the project during some dedicated phases (ramp-down) to improve the competitiveness of project deliveries.

Collect, structure, and synthesize data provided by the Project/Program Managers and/or Work Package Managers.

Monitors projects performance on a regular basis and propose and ensure implementation of corrective actions transverse to projects as necessary.

Organize URS BL Progress Reviews in coordination with GBU for the A2 projects.

Set-up and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Collect, analyze & report the data to Management to support operational decisions. Interface with other departments (Quality, Communication) who rely on these data for their activities.

Support VP Projects and Portfolio Directors to address Project teams issues such as resource prioritization, Dashboards migration.

Disseminate, implement, and improve (standardize, automate, professionalize, etc.) standard practices compliant with Chorus 2 and related tools.

Ensures full compliance to Company safety and quality procedures.

Key Requirements

College or university graduate or equivalent working experience.

Minimum of 10+ years of working experience leading teams in all phases of a project / program within Rail Signaling industry.

Logical approach to problem solving, persuasive powers, ability to motivate.

Remain calm under crisis.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Excellent time management, negotiation and Project Management skills.
