Level of position: Major Projects (PM5)

Position Purpose:
This role provides leadership, strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to project staff through all stages of a project, from transaction, implementation and closeout phases. The position guides and supports staff in managing project issues. This role also assists in leading the assessment work on potential or ‘pipeline’ projects in the pre-transaction stage. The Director will lead and manage a talented project delivery team.

What You Will Do:
Provide leadership throughout the planning, transaction and implementation phases of assigned project(s) including stakeholder management and project risk mitigation

Apply appropriate project management processes and techniques to deliver project(s) effectively.

Lead and manage a team of direct reports

Mentor and transfer knowledge to project staff and contribute to their professional development.

Who We’re Looking For:
10 years of hands-on experience with managing major complex social infrastructure projects through planning procurement and construction.

Experience in fostering a collaborative work environment to build consensus and effectively manage diverse teams of internal and external advisors, constructors and clients

Experience in, managing scope, design conformance, contract administration and disputes on major social infrastructure projects in a P3 project environment

Experience managing schedule and costs.

Experience with people leadership.

To succeed in this role you will have highly developed influencing, communications and negotiation skills to facilitate solutions to complex issues and challenges, be comfortable dealing with a combination of technical, legal and financial data in a complex project environment, and be an outstanding people leader.
