Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, and experienced Executive Producer to lead Hudson’s Bay’s internal photo studio. Overseeing both the day-to-day needs of ecommerce photography and marketing projects varying in scope, the Director, Hudson’s Bay Studio will run our internal studio function, including resourcing, scheduling and budgets. This role will efficiently take advantage of internal creative resources, external freelancers and agency partners ensuring on-scope, on-time and on-budget delivery of projects. This position reports to the VP, Executive Creative Director and will collaborate with creative, marketing and merchandising teams.
Your Background:
You have previously run a high-performing creative studio including still and motion production. You are a collaborative process-driven leader with exceptional problem-solving skills. You are well connected in the Canadian creative/production community and have experience leading productions across home, beauty and apparel categories. You are tech-savvy, organized, reliable, calm under pressure, comfortable working through ambiguity, and enjoy problem-solving.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead Hudson’s Bay Studio team (photographers, retouchers, stylists, sample/product managers) to produce ecommerce and marketing projects.
Partner with internal creative and content production teams to develop and execute work.
Manage relationships and collaborate with internal creative stakeholders and external production houses, agencies and freelancers.
Manage studio vendor partners and equipment.
Manage studio team resourcing, workflow and process integration.
Effectively prioritize project deliverables & assignments through effective communication with all project stakeholders.
Create and manage project plans, on-set production, schedules and budgets.
Be a trusted partner for creative, marketing and merchandising teams.
Your Experience:
Experience leading a creative studio or production team.
Experience managing teams and partners.
Experience with fashion, beauty, home design and lifestyle brands.
Extremely organized, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple productions.
Extensive network within the Canadian creative/production community.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Takes initiative, is agile and can jump in wherever needed.
Experience managing resourcing, scheduling and budgeting.
Instills trust with all business partners.
Strong presentation, process mapping and project management skills.
