We provide premier blending, packaging, storage, and marketing services of Irving Oil, Cobra, and private label branded lubricants, windshield wash, chemicals diesel exhaust fluid, and hand sanitizer.

The IBP Director is primarily responsible for the overall sales & operations for the Irving Blending & Packaging business, an ISO 9001:2015 facility. This includes but not limited to; safety & compliance, operations &production, lab and quality assurance, sales, and distribution. You will work by providing leadership and vision in the organization along with maintaining a culture of safety. The IBP Director is accountable to drive top line growth and gain efficiency improvements with a team of cross functional leaders while ensuring excellent customer service meeting our customer needs. IBP has a history of innovation. New product and service development will be required as we continue to transition to a green economy

What you’ll need to succeed:
Strong leadership skills and high Emotional IQ to inspire and lead a diverse team while holding everyone accountable to the business results and the goals of the organization.

Solid understanding of personal and process safety recognizing safety as core value to the organization.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance including TDG and quality assurance programs and policies that include lab services.

Proven track record of innovation developing products and services.

Inquiring mindset to identify and test current business practices seeking for operational improvements.

Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders including key customers, primary vendors, and industry personnel.

Excellent financial acumen with a solid understanding of the income statement, balance sheet, and forecasting practices.

Develop and implement annual five-year strategic operating plans and a five-year capital budget.

Develop and execute on the financial performance, KPI’s and EBITDA targets as outlined as defined in the business planning process.

Maintain commitments to customers. Ensure production output meets the demands of customers by reviewing production records and analyzing customer service thru solid demand planning and focus on on-time delivery.

Continuously improve overall margin management and maintain a competitive position by managing cost reduction and other initiatives.

Understanding of production environment with focus on mechanical availability and drivers such as Economic Order Quantity and Preventive Maintenance. Oversee the development of growth plans for all product lines including branded and private label lubricants, Chemical, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), and hand sanitizer.

Oversee the development of various third-party packaging, toll blending and distribution services for a variety of national and international customers.

Ensure plant maintains it’s ISO 9001:2015 certification by overseeing the quality and compliance program and providing corrective action where required.

Develop and conduct audits on safe work procedures and implement necessary improvements to close gaps.

Foster a positive work environment and continuously engage employees through various communication methods while maintaining an open-door policy.

Set strategic and tactical direction and targets for the Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and Compliance teams.

Education and experience

Undergraduate degree required. Completion of graduate program and/or professional designation ex: MBA; would be an asset.

10-15 years of related experience. Experience in a manufacturing facility would be an asset.

Sales management experience, including but not limited to sales funnel management, strong coaching and commercial agreement development and negotiation.

Experience in MS Office Suite.
