Responsibilities
Specifically, the Director of Athletics will provide overall leadership and direction in athletics and sports at the Halifax Grammar School; articulate Grammar’s athletics philosophy; oversee and develop all athletic programs; recruit and evaluate coaches and team managers; work closely with student-athletes; prepare a co-curricular athletic budget; organize athletic schedules; and report regularly on athletics to students, faculty, parents, and the broader Grammar community. The Director of Athletics will also be the primary contact with the NSSAF, the ACIS Athletics Directors, the CAIS Athletics Directors, the local universities, and other sports organizations.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Education Degree
Nova Scotia Teaching Licence (or equivalent).
3-5 years of experience teaching and coaching is preferred.
