Executive Direction

STATUS: Permanent full time

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

FUNCTIONS:
Under the Executive Direction’s authority, you are responsible of the planning, organization, development and implementation of the whole services and activities under the Direction of Community Services. You lead by promoting and implementing a customer approach adapted to the Inuit culture. You ensure the continued development of a culture of improvement of the quality of care and integrated services within your teams. You will have to manage various programs and services in your direction: Childhood-Youth-Family; social services and mental health; home care; audiology; Tusaajiapik residence for the elderly and day center; Wellness program as well as the midwifery program.

As a facilitator of change and continuous improvement, you will be responsible for defining orientations, objectives and priorities of the Direction related to the clientele’s needs, the principles of prioritization of services, and in accordance with orientations taken by Ungava Tulattavik Health Center.

You are responsible for ensuring the quality of professional acts, relevance of programs and services offered to users, and the sound management of human, financial and informational resources of the Direction. You work in a community approach context with your partners and other Directions. You organize, manage, supervise, and evaluate work and organizational activities. You ensure development and up-grading of the human resources under your authority. You participate in administrative, orientation and operational decisions within the establishment. You will also strengthen the internal mechanisms of consultation and communication.

Jointly with other Directions, you will lead the development and implementation of interdisciplinarity in all departments of the organization. You manage and support a high quality, professional, multidisciplinary and secure practice offered to all users and their families served by UTHC. You will also ensure implementation of clinical support to all concerned interveners.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in a related discipline to health field;

Additional training in management or master’s degree would be an asset;

Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in its discipline including three (3) years in a management position;

Knowledge of various CLSC programs;

Bilingualism English/French, spoken and written is essential; knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset;

Able to unite her direction’s strengths and favor team work as a priority;

Positive leadership and capacity to animate and motivate groups;

Relevant experience in the use of informational management tools and dashboards;

Autonomy and good communications skills are essential for the position;

Working in an Inuit environment, you must demonstrate respect for the values conveyed therein while making sure to rally your staff to the philosophy of the establishment.

Conditions and benefits

SALARY: Working conditions shall be those applicable to Directors of the Health and Social Services network

Class 42 : 96 816 $ Min. to 125 861 $ Max / year

ISOLATION PREMIUM: 10 015 $ or 17 652 $ / year, as per the family status

HIGH LIVING COST: 3 075$ / year or as per the family status

RETENTION PREMIUM OTHER THEN NURSE: 6 000 $ to 10 750 $ / year (temporary measure)

RETENTION PREMIUM NURSE ONLY: 14 000 $ / year

All person recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she/he is called upon to perform her/his duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per her/his status (may be asked to live in a transit temporarily).
