Director of Marketing Strategy, Brand & Media
Position Summary:
As a key member of this dynamic Marketing team, you will be responsible for leading the overall marketing strategy, brand development and media strategy & execution across an omnichannel landscape and within a fast paced, competitive industry. You will be a member of the Marketing Leadership team, responsible for the guidance of strategy, execution and talent development of a full team of 70+ members. This role will have influence across a broad range of cross functional stakeholders including an active role in global teams. You are a great balance of a strategic, agile thinker, influencer without authority, creative, and a courageous and curious leader who enables and develops greatness out of their teams and agency partners. You thrive in an environment of constant change and growth.
Accountability & Responsibility:
Lead the marketing strategy development including identifying key customer segments & personas, key growth opportunities across verticals & channels, and owning the overall Marketing Calendar development and execution
Leads the development of the annual marketing plan including overall budget and investment recommendations for brand, campaigns & media
Drives the long term strategy of the SKIP brand message in the market along with collaboration with our Global Brand team – campaigns include both National and Regional messaging
Accountable for the delivery of our annual brand metrics around Top of Mind Awareness, Share of Voice, Brand Consideration & Brand Preference
Drives the overall workflow of the commercial marketing team to ensure we stay on top of the calendar execution including prioritization of projects and workflow
Leads the National and Regional media strategy & execution across an omnichannel landscape ensuring brand and business objectives are met – includes all traditional and digital media to drive our brand metrics and top of funnel activity
Owns the media & creative agency relationships and has a seat at the table with the Global Brand & Media team
Works in strong collaboration across other pillars of the Marketing team including Performance & Retention (Digital Marketing), Partnerships (Restaurants & Sponsorships) the Creative Studio & French translation
Responsible for the talent development and succession planning across a team of 9 highly engaged and motivated team members

Experience Qualifications:
15+ years of experience leading world class brands
Deep knowledge of the Canadian media landscape – traditional + digital
Driving creativity across campaigns and different consumer cohorts
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and connecting the dots across multiple data sources
A brand evangelist that drives influence
A focus on measurement and driving positive ROI across marketing programs
Experience leading teams of 5 people + and developing top talent
